SOUTHERN ALBERTA

2 year old female registered Samoyed

This is a gorgeous girl, on the lower end of the standard for size. House and crate trained. She is headstrong and independent. This girl will make an excellent companion dog. She loves to play with other dogs, but preferable she should be in a one or two dog home and preferably with a neutered male. She is high energy and would do great at agility because she is incredibly smart and can think while at a dead run!! She loves to give kisses and cuddle and sleep with you on the bed ALL night

Conditions of adoption:

New owner will have spay her. Small adoption fee will apply.
Hips are free from dysplasia and eyes were checked as a puppy

Kitana has found her forever home!

Thanks!

'BLIZZARD'

December 22 '07 Blizzard Has found a forever home!

"We think he's 8+ years old, and he is social with dogs. He particularly gravitates towards children and just really seems to enjoy them a lot. He immediately went over to two little girls, who are about 7 & 10, and gave them some polite kisses and wags. He originally was a stray so we have no background information on him. He is very sweet, easy going and likes to go for short walks during the day, although he has some overall body stiffness due to his age. He seems to prefer being outdoors, as that may be a breed tendancy, but also fuelled by his grand dislike of being in the noisy, chaotic kennels ;) "

Older male Samoyed at the Vancouver Shelter.  This old boy is in dire need of a home or foster home as he is upset, and very scared of the loud barking and noise at the shelter. He hates going into the shelter and seems to prefer being outside where there is no noise.  If you can help out, please contact the shelter at

Thank you for your interest in rescued Samoyeds

Occasionally there will be a  rescue looking for a forever home. The Samoyed Association of Canada does not currently have a Rescue program. Still, there is a network of caring breeders across Canada who are dedicated to the breed and so help to find homes for the Samoyeds in need.

There are currently no Samoyeds looking for a home, but if you would like to be added to a waiting list, please contact me and I will let you know when a Sammy comes available.  Unfortunately there seems to be more rescues available right around the Christmas Holiday Season.
Sometimes a breeder may have a fabulous puppy that did not work out as a show prospect, or they have a retired show/breeding dog that would be better off spending his/hers golden years as a beloved family pet.
If you know of a Samoyed in a shelter please let us know so that we can assist in finding a home for that dog.
If you would like to become a foster home or a contact person, please let us know.
