Occasionally
there will be a rescue looking for a forever home. The Samoyed
Association of Canada does not currently have a Rescue program. Still,
there is a network of caring breeders across Canada who are dedicated to
the breed and so help to find homes for the Samoyeds in need.
If you would like to
be added to a waiting list, please contact me and I will let you know
when a Sammy comes available. Unfortunately there seems to be more
rescues in our shelters right around the Christmas Holiday Season.
Sometimes a
breeder may have a puppy that did not work out as a show
prospect, or they have a retired show/breeding dog that would be better
off spending his/hers golden years as a beloved family pet. Very rarely
these purebred dogs come available.
If you know
of a Samoyed in a shelter please let us know so that we can assist in
finding a home for that dog.
