About
Crisandi Samoyeds |
|
|
|
We
have owned, loved, exhibited and bred Samoyeds exclusively since
1983.
We
are currently owned by 6 Samoyeds, each a loving part of our
family. 4 outdoor kennels are in the yard and they are seldom
used. We do not 'warehouse' our dogs, as they are a part
of our family and we enjoy their company.
|

|
|

|
We
have bred and/or owned 20+ conformation champions and other
titled dogs, including working, sledding and agility titles with
many other Samoyeds championship pointed
|
|
Our
goal is not to achieve top breeder or top dog awards, or earn
records in the show ring, but to breed a healthy Samoyed who is
sound in both body and mind. A Samoyed that is a fine
example of the breed that adjusts naturally into any family
life. |
 |
 |
Our
satisfaction is not in lofty titles or awards, but in knowing
our dogs conform to the standard and make excellent family
additions, and that we can show for pleasure and entertainment
Temperament
is our priority and the super sweet Samoyed disposition must be
preserved and considered before those show wins.
A
Samoyed who is a top winner in the show ring but does not
display the sweet temperament the breed is known for, is not a
winner at all.
|
|
We
do not breed excessively, and breeding is never considered a
source of income. Usually one litter a year, and sometimes
two.
Each
litter is thought out carefully, and since we are proud of our
boys, we use our own studs as well as breed out to other
stud dogs as pedigree planning dictates.
|
 |
 |
We
believe in line breeding, but also outcrossing, and both these
methods are carefully considered before breeding, with
genetic diversity and breed strength always a concern. |
|
Our
dogs are hip cleared by either OFA or OVC and the dogs have
their eyes CERF certified. We breed only healthy dogs.
